The location of Faculty Commons in the University College ensures that students are taught by faculty who are continuously growing, developing and sharing the latest scholarship, pedagogy and technology. The university is a teaching institution, and faculty choose to work at Eastern because they can see the transformations that they support in students. University College also serves as a liaison to other colleges, units and divisions, and is designed to smooth the logistical bumps in the road so that students can direct their energy to the exhilarating, and sometimes exhausting, process of transformation.
All admitted students must officially Declare a Major by the time they reach 90 credits (junior standing).
