- explicitly teach Social Emotional Learning across developmentally appropriate levels;
- demonstrate culturally responsive practices in the selection, implementation, adaptation, and monitoring of SEL curriculum;
- articulate the impact of stress and trauma on student learning and behavior;
- create strategies to engage and communicate with families and community members in a culturally responsive way in their SEL efforts;
- explain action steps to build a culture focused on SEL.
