Employment Opportunities

As of March 2023, the Bureau of Labor Statistics, U.S. Department of Labor, Occupational Outlook, Speech-Language Pathologists, projects from 2021 to 2031 that employment in this field will grow 21 percent.

Speech-Language Pathologists are employed in a variety of setting across the health span (infants, toddlers, school age children, and adults). Employment opportunities include public schools, hospitals and outpatient clinics, private clinics, skilled nursing facilities, early intervention centers, and others.
