The Asia University America Program (AUAP) is a study abroad program for students from Asia University, Tokyo, Japan.

AUAP students come in two cohorts each year for five months and study in an intensive English language and cultural immersion program. The goals of the program are to develop students’ communicative competence in the English language, to promote intercultural awareness, and to provide students with the opportunity to live in, study about, and experience another culture within a university setting.

The program is partnered at two other universities in the Pacific Northwest: Central Washington University and Western Washington University.

Since 1989, over 4,000 students from Asia University have attended AUAP with Eastern Washington University students serving as peer advisors, volunteers, roommates, and campus friends in the program.
