Telehealth Certificate, Graduate
This graduate certificate is a fully online 16 quarter credit program. This certificate is designed for healthcare managers and practitioners who wish to explore career options in telehealth.
Telehealth technologies and strategies are increasingly being implemented to provide access to medical, dental, rehabilitative, and mental health services. The Graduate Telehealth Certificate provides healthcare professionals with an overview of telehealth best practices and the role of telehealth to improve access to healthcare services, utilization of services, and health outcomes. Emphasis is on how telehealth can be implemented across the healthcare disciplines to meet the health care needs of the most vulnerable populations.
Course work results in a personal toolkit that the student may use as they seek opportunities for working in telehealth within their chosen profession.

Students who earn a Telehealth Graduate Certificate from EWU should be able to:
- analyze the principles of telehealth including, development, fiscal impact, and sustainability for providing care in telehealth programs for a variety of healthcare disciplines;
- analyze regulatory issues, ethics, legal principles, and policies to best practices in telehealth programs;
- examine technologies and methods for implementing and managing an effective and sustainable telehealth program;
- establish a framework of diversity, equity, and inclusion to promote cultural sensitivity within the telehealth services environment;
- create a personal toolkit of best practices for implementing and sustaining telehealth programs across the healthcare disciplines.
