Graphic Design Minor
The Graphic Design minor introduces students to the principles and practice of visual communication across contemporary media. Students develop creative problem-solving skills through applied learning, collaboration, current design tools and workflows, and a systems thinking methodology. Electives allow students to further explore areas such as social media design, advanced typography, publication and zine design, and production design.
Grade Requirements: Students must earn a GPA ≥2.5 in minor coursework.

Students who earn a Graphic Design Minor from EWU should be able to:
- demonstrate fluency in design principles and visual language to create effective communication solutions;
- apply critical thinking and research methodologies to address complex design challenges;
- integrate contemporary tools and technologies in the development of design artifacts;
- analyze cultural and social contexts to create inclusive and ethical design solutions;
- synthesize theory and practice to produce professional-level design outcomes.
