Palliative Care Certificate, Graduate
This certificate is an advanced generalist program where students gain specialized knowledge in palliative care. Students learn broad knowledge and skills to work in all areas and levels of social work, from working with individuals to changing policy through advocacy. This graduate certificate also allows students from disciplines such as psychology, nursing, and other health science programs to gain specialized and systemic knowledge in palliative care. This fully online, asynchronous certificate is designed to fit busy schedules.

Students who earn a Graduate Certificate in Palliative Care from EWU should be able to:
- demonstrate the foundational skills in delivering client-centered, research informed care from an ecological perspective to individuals and families impacted by a life-limiting illness and other losses;
- advocate for clients from diverse cultural backgrounds and experiences within medical and social systems involved with all levels of their care;
- establish/increase practice of personal reflection about end of life issues and loss experiences to enhance professional and personal growth.
